@Frikinautas

The greatest thing about this video is seeing the sheer amount of homebrew programmers that make the best out of that 1977 hardware (I was born in late 1983, so go figure). Goes to show the 2600 and its contemporaries still retain their old magic. And I hope it's for many years from now.

@AkAkNeil

excellent - especially love the game names on every one!

@otakuatarigamer

The Atari 2600 is one of the best consoles of all time. It’s kind of under appreciated nowadays

@majed77majed25

1:26:46 The most beautiful memories of my childhood

@namangupta86

Its amazing to see the amount of creativity of its engineers back then. The so called modern Games that we see today are directly or indirectly ported from that time. Heck even the names are same for some of the best games right now.

@PrimiusLovin

The 1st console I've ever played with as a 5 year old, in a black and white TV, in a far far away Sunday morning somewhere around 1985-86, after having skipped the mass at the local church! lol

@nastykhan7746

Thanks, i was able to find all my kids days favs :)

@FlockAndField

01:53:31 Haven't seen this tier list before. P.S. love the non-Pythagorean music.

@ramireza6904

Back in the days i visited a friend... and he showed me his 2600... i was in aw... 2 Days later i visited another friend of mine who show showed me his C64... and this day changed my life.

@darrinjonesjr465

13:17 the bearstain bears is not a video game its just a background of their house

@un7itledreacts

Thank you! I've been trying to remember the name of the game "Lock 'n' Chase" forever.

@Dukefazon

13:10 - Bee Ball, that's really cute :D

At Duck Attack (39:31) I started suspecting that these are not just the original games but has some newer releases as well.

A friend of mine had this Atari 2600 clone with almost all the games built in and you cycled through them with a lever. There were no title screens so I didn't know any of the games, I could only find them today by trying to describe how it played. That's how I found MASH. But for other obscure games I need to watch this whole thing. I remember liking Mr Postman for it's weird visuals and sounds (1:26:55)

2:24:01 - THAT'S IT! This was the game I was looking for! Thnk you for making this video!

@nabilahmedkhan8052

Man I was like five years old when I played these. I'm talking about memories which are almost twenty five years old.

@nicolasribeirodossantos6082

0:15 is that Fur Elise?

@jaxxh6529

There was a game that you must jump over gaps and i dont know the name it was like a race game or something

@alkohallick2901

Acid drop?

@McLovin_2007

AVGN Boxing? I didn't know that existed until now. I'm a fan of AVGN. Some of these games are obviously homebrews.

 I first played atari 2600 in 1990 at age 7 or 8. I just recently bought the atari flashback 9 and I love many of the games. It's amazing how many of these games are still fun after 35-40+ years. I love games like jungle hunt, pitfall, river raid, berserk, mario bros, popeye, space invaders, missile command, centipede, enduro and others. I don't always like every atari game, but If I dislike one it's because of the game play and not the graphics. Some people are graphic snobs who prefer only new games. But I can overlook the early graphics if the game play is good.

@supershape8510

14:09 wow much game 10/10

@SupremeNerd

great video. you make it painfully obvious that youve never played a lot of these games/ports.
