This is definitely one of those moments when a camera showing destination would be pretty good....
CLEAR BACKBLAST
'This is an American made RPG' - I can tell by the Picatinny rail 🤣
"rotation has begun"
Thank god the back blast didn’t burn that beautiful mane of hair 😊
Good job on not letting go of the tube. I was in the army and people always lost grip on the AT 4.
Fun fact it Schwarzenegger’s film last action hero, A terrorist uses an rpg in a contained van, he had fired it from the rear double doors, the backblast consequently rockets the front passenger through the windshield and out lmao, I don’t know if that’s physically accurate (propelling him out the window) but atleast they got the back blast correct lol
He was wrong. The first thing that goes off when you hit the trigger isn't the booster motor, it's me.
Even shoots rockets left handed! Love ya Ian!
New method for squirrel hunting.
It pushes the munition out of the tube or else it gets the hose again
Not Ian heading us with the Doug demuro classic "THIIIS"
Old Yugoslav made RPG have sand in the back of the booster to counteract weight of the projectile ... that sand (and gases)was actually pretty dangerous, if you are behind, or in the same room). Actually, it wasn't recommended to be fired from the rooms, only outside, and if I remember well, 60° (30° left, 30° right) was an extremely dangerous zone... after, there came "Zolja" (M80, if I record well..)... The 😢officer told me, before fireing, that "goes little bit to the right," so I took it literally and aimed 5cm (2 inch) from the metallic plate to the left. (Plate was 2x3 meters/yards, and after he told me that he thought 10 cm/4inch at 100 m/yds from the center of the plate - not 1,5 meter left!). It was extremely precise shot, and left 3 trails (cuts) of the fins at the plate, then afyer it miss the plate, left 100 meters/yards long trace at the snow, and exploded at the end...so it was much funnier for observers, than actuall hit at the center... (hit of the shaped charge, leave only a small hole in the area in front, and a little bigger at the back side, with shrapnel carrying with it.. nothing spectacular).
Each of us got to fire a LAW in basic. The noise and violence without recoil is bizarre. I understand the physics but when doing it as an 18yo it made my brain melt.
I was half expecting Ian's hair to be set aflame. Glad it's safe
How did he resist temptation to yell “WOLVERINES!!!”
Honestly awsome video. Most youtubers who show off rocket launchers have some pitiful dummy projectile that has about as much power as a bottle rocket. This was clearly inert but full load. Amazing to see! Thank you Ian
Wow, even the slow motion can barely pick that rocket up exiting the tube! That round is moving!
That would be a perfect carry weapon
