My favourite thing about V is he/she literally is that badass Johnny thinks he is in the flashbacks. Single-handedly raiding ‘Saka tower with just a pistol and a shit load of guts is something Johnny could (and does) only dream of doing. Johnny essentially gets to live out what he (incorrectly) remembers doing vicariously through V.

Amazing stuff. It surprised me how much emotion these songs could draw out of me while playing the game. The first time I played through "Black Dog" was on the radio as I was on my way to meet Hanako and I almost smacked myself when I realized that the song was about the relationship between V and Johnny.

When you see this ammount of world-building. I'm not surprised the game was a mess at launch, the technology didn't follow for a game made for 2077 from 2077. I'm so glad they managed to fix it in 2023.

I remember when it came out that they got Refused to do the music for Samurai in the game. been a fan since shape of punk to come came out. They knocked it out of the park with these songs, and they really elevate the world, story, and characters.
