As a kid in the US I remember seeing Cortinas around. SIMCA Lanchia Austin Healy Alfa MG and more. All the greats. My dad took us to the road races in Cotati and Vacaville, California . It was still the Golden Age and I love these cars. The spectators at the track were behind hay bales, maybe a chain link fence too. This was the 60’s and early 70’s. Those were the days……

My father raced one he bought from the Ford dealer showroom floor in Quakertown Pennsylvania. I have the rollbar from his car in my shop. After 1 year he gave it to my mother to drive to work. Then it was sold never to be seen again ... Cool car ! The car that proceeded the Cortina was a Cosworth powered Anglia.

Couldn't afford the lotus one but had the 1500 gt,what a car the Mk1 was, love the video and brought back old memories when working on them, want to see more working on these cars colin from Surrey England 👍 👏 ❤
