I personally have been loving this album. My biggest issue is the mixing. Some songs are extremely loud (those fuckin snares) and others are way too quiet. I love it but this is a valid review

I’m not gonna lie, I view this album less as a full coherent album, like WLR, and more like a playlist (similar to Pink Tape by Uzi) in which you can simply take the songs that you like on here and essentially make it your own (in a way).

Man I’m glad someone keeping it 100. That mf was messy, the longest short album ever, no cohesion, beat selection whacked out and all over the place, ONE MINUTE SONGS, jumbled and confusing cadences to the point don’t even sounds like ANYTHING as a fan of him expects, took 5 years to drop, uninspired, creatively bankrupted…..ETC AND THE LIST CAN GO ON !!!!!!!! PS: I’m a day 1 Carti fan from 2014 so trust me I don’t despise him but disappointed the same way I was with Uzi and his last project ! My goats letting me down which either means they time is coming to a close or my 33 year old ass getting too old and it’s time to move on !

I dont like the mixtape argument because a mixtape sounding album can still have cohesion to it, and not be bloated. Plus most mixtapes maybe have like 5-10 producers at most, with one producer handling most of it. Music has 30+, while having a ton of producers isnt a bad thing if theres a reason behind it. It just feels like music a bunch of random beats from different eras. Imo GNX is a better executed mixtape like Vibe from a mainstream rapper. Also most mixtapes dont got the luxury of having Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Weeknd, Lil Uzi, and Future on numerous of tracks so that could also break the immersion of it sounding like a mixtape.
