Fun fact, Serbia was at first discussing formation of Yugoslavia with Bulgaria. But instead of joining hands, they went to war with each other. Classic Balkans :D

I think the more realistic scenario is if the Central Powers won WW1 and Austria-Hungary fails to reform causing a civil war and a Bulgarian intervention. And if Bulgaria is succesfull it might annex Illyria forming Yugoslavia

Difference that our timeline Croatians, Slovene and Bosnians don't like the Serb rule in Yugoslavia, but like Bulgarians probably, because Bulgaria don't rule them. If Bulgaria form Yugoslavia then Serbs would be the trobllemakers, while Croatians, Slovene and Bosnians would be neutral. I say neutral, because Bulgarian policy towards minority is more 'humane' compere to Serbs during it time. Then expect Yugoslavia to form four Tsarsdom/Kingdoms inside of it.
