It would be amazing to see how you edit photos, or at least the before and after. It looks like you play a lot with contrast and sharpness and it would be nice to understand those creative choices!

@aaronedgeart

Absolutely loving your goofy, witty, creative and spontaneous narrative/technique. So glad to have found your channel Alan!!!

@00Seven1000

Now that was 20 minutes and 14 seconds well spent! Thank you Alan

@MKWHD

You are definitely the best street photographer on youtube. The best.

@stevevvvv

One of the best photographers I see in long time 🎉

@Stories-in-Black-and-White

Great video. I love this picture with the 3 boys with umbrella. Here fits everything together.

@HP-lr3xv

This was great, Alan, really instructive, and I like the seriousness of it (hint, hint). Fan Ho is fantastic, as are the other great photographers you mentioned. Subscribed.

@zsalmasi

Thank you very much for this video. This conscious composition is what differentiates an amateur photographer from a pro. Composition is what makes the otherwise chaotic and incomprehensible human experience a structured and inteligible whole, the flux turns into beauty this way. And the photos you have shown and explored truly exemplify your approach to photograpy and the power of composition. I have almost taken my camera into my hands, you are an inspiration.

@MisterJimBroke

You're one of the few people who's videos i actively watch instead of just having on in background

@gabeatv

So inspiring! Thank you for sharing not only your art, but also insights into how to take better photographs.

@peterwolf3001

I always struggled with composition, knowing it could always be better. this video and all your videos are a huge inspiration. please keep them coming

@chrisbogart687

You forgot the part about needing a calibrated eyeball to see these things as an image in your brain. You are so good at capturing what you imagine. That is a talent that cannot be taught. 😇

@hurleygreen927

BIG THUMBS UP FOR THIS VIDEO....Thanks HG from Chicago!

@bvdv47

Trimming the fat made me think about Edward Tufte and how he advocates using the least ink possible to convey information when working on the visualisation of information. In a way it applies here as well.

@PatrikSkiffardFoto

Never been a patreon to anyone, but this is a first and only!

@olafrotkohl5898

I just had to become a patron. You’ve really inspired me to pick up my gear again and your explanations of your shots are precise and illuminating. Many thanks.

@johnwaine56

Outstanding video

@WouterZtube

Just found your channel: absolute gold!

@lukjs5239

Almost everything about composition in a delightful video. Great job as usual! It's a crime against photography missing one of your videos. 😉

@Mikee16710
