@MrDrewseph

"Cheer up, sleepy Jean," on that minor three chord, especially with the harmony, is one of the sweetest moves in all of music

@LisaBianchi1960

Born in 1960 I had the pleasure of growing up in the 60’s and 70’s and watching The Monkeys on t.v. I miss those days immensely!

@Why9812

Dad's favourite song, died in 2014, absolutely legendary song.

@elizabethwhiffen7849

My husband of 25 years passed away suddenly 2 weeks ago. We would dance to this in the kitchen and right before kneeling down for prayers at night. I adore this song ♥️

@markaungst8975

My amazing wife Jeannie passed away this morning. This was her favorite song since she was a young girl. Off course I had to come here. Love you always Baby Bird.

@jacquelinegrice7311

I been a fan since 1966. I actually CRIED when Davy passed. Same with Peter.I didn't want The Monkees to get old, I wanted them to stay just like they are in this video!

@ランゴリア

子供の頃から幾度となく耳慣れた曲がこんなに暖かくかっこいい人達によって作られた曲とは思いませんでした。何十年も前の曲なのに視聴する毎に胸の中が熱くなります。

@peterdejamont

When you are feeling low and depressed, listen to the Monkees, it will make you feel better.

@jeannephayre6853

On January 6, 1968 at 6am when my clock radio went off, this song was on. It was my wedding day.

@tonybino01

RIP Micheal Nesmith. Believe it or not, back in the 80s they were still showing reruns of the Monkees on Saturday mornings after cartoons. What a treat. Kids who stream will never understand nor the satisfaction of Saturday mornings.

@joshuabrooks4907

Listening to this the day of Michael Nesmith's passing. I hope Peter and Davey greeted you at the pearly gates with open arms, Mike.

@LIgal629

I’m 71 I grew up on the Monkees and Elvis!! Love it still.❤❤❤❤❤

@oakroyal

Don’t be sad that they’re gone. Be happy they lived.

@MarinaAsperger

Rest in Peace Davy Jones.....this is a beautiful song

@ronmendez-macfarland5251

I have a scar under my chin from falling on hardwood floors dancing to this album as a kid. 6 stitches. One of the best albums ever. The Beatles gave them their props. Wish they put out more music.

@sundae-bb

idk why ppl are saying marvel made it famous it was literally one of the biggest songs from the 60s ahahaha

edit: it's been 2 years why do i still get notifications about this

@alexcarratu5554

Regardless of if the Monkees wrote their own tunes or not - or played their own instruments or not - this tune can automatically make one feel good. A classic for all time this song, not just a '60s classic. Thank you to all the Monkees.

@krisgreenwood5173

Only Micky is left now. They were a great group back in the 60's. They are still great today.

@Tommyboy80s

RiP........
