Anamorphic VS Spherical Lens - what's the difference? #videography #filmmaking #cinematography

There are 3 main differences between these 2 types of lenses:

1️⃣FOV: Even tho they have the same focal length, an Anamorphic Lens will always have a wider field of few thanks to its unique optical design.

2️⃣BOKEH: The internal squeezing Optics of the Anamorphic lens will create an oval shaped Bokeh instead of the usual round bokeh-balls.

3️⃣FLARES: Anamorphics are known for their unique streak like lens flares. Depending on the type of Anamorphic, these can be differently colored.
