Tel Aviv in 5 minutes | Travel Guide | With Day Trip to Jerusalem

IMPORTANT NOTICE - please read first, then comment!!!

Over a year has passed since we visited Tel Aviv - a city full of life, culture, diversity and creativity. But shortly after our trip, everything changed. The war in Israel brought suffering, uncertainty and fear. During this time, it didn't seem right to show carefree travelling moments when so many people were facing pain and loss.

Nevertheless, after careful consideration, we decided to publish our video now. Not because we ignore the difficult reality, but because we believe it is important to show the other side: the vibrant, open and inspiring Tel Aviv. A city where people of different backgrounds, religions and lifestyles come together to live, create and enjoy together.

This video is a glimpse of the Tel Aviv and Israel we experienced - full of joie de vivre, hospitality and creativity. It is a sign of hope and a reminder that behind the headlines are real people and places that are more than a conflict.

We know that the situation remains complex and painful, and we do not want to trivialise suffering or take political positions. Our aim is to show a piece of the beauty and diversity that make up this city and this country - and perhaps to remind people of the importance of understanding and humanity in difficult times.

Thank you for walking this path with us.

Original text (from September 2023):

Tel Aviv. A colorful, lively city between tradition and modernity. A hotspot for young people and cosmopolitan travelers. With 300 days of sunshine a year, a great vacation is guaranteed here. Tel Aviv in 5 minutes is a travel guide including the beste attractions and a day trip to Jerusalem.
► Important information: Video was recorded in September 2023.

At Carmel Market, you can find souvenirs for your family and friends back home. Also sweet mountains of halva, baklava and kadaifi, colorful fruit and juice stands, spice vendors and a variety of street kitchens. We continue through the artists' quarter Florentin to the old town of Jaffa. It really is very beautiful. You can get an impression of the history and culture of Israel on a walk.

The coast of Tel Aviv stretches for 14 kilometers with its numerous beaches. Hilton Beach is particularly popular with the rainbow community. Tel Aviv has generally made a point of being particularly LGBT-friendly. Gay Pride is also celebrated here every year.

We take a day trip to Jerusalem. It has the highest density of religious buildings in the world. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is one of the largest shrines of Christianity. Jesus is said to have been crucified and buried here. Jews from all over the world come to the Wailing Wall to pray and commemorate. And on the Temple Mount is the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is important for Muslims.

The next day, we take a day trip from Tel Aviv in a rental car. Driving on highways 1 and 90 through the West Bank is generally permitted, but this can change at any time. Our first destination: Masada National Park. According to legend, Herod built a palace here more than 2000 years ago. Nearby is the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.

We recommend a 5-7 day trip to Tel Aviv, if it is safe to travel to Tel Aviv. You can book your apartment here: bit.ly/Tel-Aviv-Trip *
